Actions to take from Gary:
Start from a place of rest
Find a personal practice—like meditation, walking in nature, or journaling—that keeps you grounded. Engage in anti-slavery work from a place of inner freedom, not burnout.
Ask questions and follow your passion
Begin with what breaks your heart or makes you come alive. Ask questions about supply chains, working conditions, and the systems around you.
Collaborate for systemic change
Work with others. Seek meaningful partnerships and collective action to shift the direction of the “ship,” not just rearrange the deck chairs.
